The McKenzie Method is a comprehensive and logical step-by-step process that quickly and systematically evaluates neck, back and peripheral problems. The mechanical examination classifies most conditions according to the pain or motion response to certain movements or positions.

The McKenzie method is useful in treating a variety of conditions including, neck pain, arm pain, headaches, back pain, and sciatica.

McKenzie treatment prescribes a series of individualised exercises. The emphasis is on active patient involvement to compliment your physiotherapy treatment, which minimises the number of visits to the clinic.

By learning how to self-treat the current problem, you will gain hands-on knowledge on how to minimise the risk of recurrence and to rapidly deal with recurrence if it occurs.

Pre-employment screening and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) uses a series of tests to assess physical strength, flexibility, fitness, BMI (Body mass index), and ability to perform functional activities. The results of these tests are useful in determining fitness for work and staging a return to work following injury.

All Ages Physio performs preemployment screenings for a variety of industries including mining, retail, manufacturing and local councils. We also perform intake prescreening for the armed services. We are able to complete pre-employment screenings with employer generated protocols or using our own protocol which can be tailored to your industry.
